Sustainability

Our goal at Dalla Terra Ranch is to raise our animals in a healthy and sustainable environment.

Specifically, we have established the following goals for our operation:

• Select pasture and feed crops carefully for seasonality, livestock life-cycle, livestock vigor, end product quality, and protection of the land
• Grow all feed consumed on premises
• Minimize outside inputs (energy, fuel, labor, etc.)
• Utilize alternative energy whenever possible
• Maximize agricultural output on property while maintaining aesthetic appeal
• Introduce/re-introduce indigenous/native species in all plantings and restorations
• Operate ranch as a demonstration property from sustainability, environmental, and agricultural perspectives
• Make available the ranch as a venue for education and entertaining
• Use recycled or refurbished supplies wherever possible
